Age Friendly Transport Event – help create better transport for older people

30 May 2018

One of the key areas of BAB’s Age Friendly Bristol project is making sure that older people in the city have access to transport and are confident in getting around the city. We’re taking a solid step in that direction by running a transport event focusing on older people.

For transport to be age friendly, older people in Bristol need to have good access to transport and feel confident when it comes to getting around the city.

We will be inviting a wide cross-section of people to participate; including transport providers, age-related charities and more. Different experts from the sector will showcase projects they are working on or have seen, and give guidance on how the city can move forward.

It’s not just about hearing from the experts, however. In addition to the learning sessions, BAB will be facilitating group work to share good practice, pin down the most important transport issues facing older people today – and what we can do about them.

The event will take place from 10:00 - 13:00 at Watershed, 1 Canon's Rd, Bristol, BS1 5TX. You can find out more about the event and sign up here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/age-friendly-transport-are-we-there-yet-tickets-46146072144
