Age Friendly City Conference 2015

1 Jun 2017

On 7th October 2015, members of the voluntary and public sectors and citizens from different Bristol communities came together at M Shed to discuss how to make Bristol an age friendly city.

Speakers from Bristol Ageing Better, Bristol City Council, Positive Ageing Associates and Happy City provided an insightful overview of the requirements of an age-friendly city, and the afternoon's workshops were a great opportunity for everyone to make their voice heard on the key aspects.

Please find below a report summarising day's learning, as well as the draft baseline assessment created by Bristol City Council. The latter informs the 3-5 year city-wide action plan to get Bristol to meet the requirements for age-friendly city status.
